Filmmaker Name: Jaime Andrade
Short Biography About Filmmaker: I've been a film maker since I was a wee boy. Making little movies in the Ventura county area was my hobby during my formative years. At Oxnard high School, I attended their first offering of video production, at Oxnard college their video production courses allowed me to hone my craft. Then I went into a career of journalism and training videos as a means to make money, only to hear the beckoning call of creative narrative story telling again.
What type of films do you most love to create?: Short films with a science fiction slant.
Any notable awards or recognitions?: Nothing really in the past 10 years. I was the editor on a academy award nominated news package. I was a w.a.v.e. award winner for a short documentary I made about The Willow artist installation in Santa Barbara botanical gardens.
Fun fact or interesting tidbit about yourself: I always try to make sure my narrative stories; written or filmed, can and do live in the same universe.
