Filmmaker Name: Elsha Narachi

Short Biography About Filmmaker: I grew up on a ranch in Carpinteria and have always been influenced by Johnny Brown who made old western films featuring bandidos, horses and a cadillac in the 70's and 80's. After winning a red 1978 Cadillac (Wynonna) in a 2005 poker game, I started writing a script with Johnny and my bestie Amanda Williamson and finally made a film in 2023. It's silly, fun and features lots of longtime local people and places in Carpinteria. We premiered Dust & Duct Tape at the Alcazar for my 50th birthday.

What type of films do you most love to create?: Vintage westerns but currently working on a script about pirates and mermaids.

Any notable awards or recognitions?: Not yet!

Fun fact or interesting tidbit about yourself: I love making time capsules featuring all of my friends and family. We are so blessed to have access to most of the Carpinteria back country and we are lucky to be able to film and raise our families in this incredible town.
Graduated Carp High in 1990 and still keep in touch with most of my high school friends.
